August – In Spring of 2020 FortisBC contacted EMM regarding a potential upgrade to the area around their Compressor Station Gas Plant. This upgrade is called the Woodfibre Gas Pipeline Project and would construct a new transmission system from Coquitlam to Squamish to the Woodfibre LNG facility. In July, the Executive was again contacted by FortisBC with the news the project was moving forward and there would be areas around the Compressor Station that would become inaccessable to the public. This will eventually affect our Sidewinder trail. We will post more once we learn more. Stay tuned!
